Open House at RCADD

On Thursday, June 26, 2008, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, the Rockland Council on Alcoholism and other Drug Dependence, Inc. (RCADD) will have an open house at their new address at 25 Smith Street, Suite 101, Nanuet, New York l0954. All community members are invited to visit their new office and meet their new Executive Director, Ruth A. Bowles.

Ruth comes to RCADD from the Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Council of Orange County. She is a New York State Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPP) with eleven years experience in the field of substance abuse prevention. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human and Community Services, received the 2005 Orange County Prevention Professional of the Year Award, Woman of Distinction Award, and several recognition awards for her work with Project Liberty after 911.

Ruth is a lay speaker in her local church community, is a volunteer for the Friendly Visitor Program, and has worked both in the Orange County and NYS state correctional system providing counseling to residents in those facilities. Prior to her work in substance abuse prevention, Ruth had a twenty year career in banking.
