| The Rockland Business Association is being honored by Pattern for Progress with it's 2009 Regional Achievement Award. The recognition acknowledges "contributions that demonstrate the power of regional thinking and cross-region collaborations for the greater good in the Hudson Valley.
The award will be presented to Al Samuels, RBA President/CEO, at Pattern's Annual Meeting and Awards Reception, Thursday, November 5, 2009, at Anthony's Pier 9 in New Windsor.
According to Jonathan Drapkin, Pattern's President & CEO, "This year we are honoring your efforts to collaborate on behalf of the Hudson Valley to educate the public and Albany on the inequity of the MTA payroll tax." The award will be shared with the regional partners who collaborated on this effort, including the Rockland Economic Development Corp.
"It will be a great honor to accept this award as part of a collaboration that includes colleagues like Ron Hicks, REDC President/CEO," Samuels said.
Pattern is a regional think tank that has been instrumental in providing insights and leadership in such areas as transportation, affordable housing and the SEQRA process.
